New Chandani Chowk flyover on Mum-Bang Highway in Pune ready

On August 12, the public will finally get to see the brand-new Chandani Chowk flyover in Pune, which has been a long time coming as a remedy for the ongoing traffic jams on the Mumbai-Bangalore Highway. Politicians and social media users have shared drone images and construction films of the complex project in advance of its opening.

Every day in Pune, around 1.5 lakh people pass through this chowk. Old bridge was constructed in 1992 by the State PWD, according to a user's post that included video from a drone that flew over the new flyover.

A thorough video of BJP leader and former mayor of Pune Murlidhar Mohol's visit to the location before the inauguration was also uploaded.

The project will be launched by Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, among others, according to officials in the Pune district government.
