The completion of the flyover at Mani on National Highway 75, a crucial component of the BC Road-Adda Hole four-lane project, is anticipated by the end of April, as stated by Abdulla Javed Azmi, the Director of the Mangaluru Project Office of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). During the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting chaired by Nalin Kumar Kateel, Member of Parliament, Dakshina Kannada, on February 14, Azmi reported that out of the 63 km stretch between BC Road and Adda Hole, 31 km has already been upgraded to four lanes. The entire project is expected to conclude by February 2025. Azmi further mentioned that 11 km of the 15 km stretch between Adda Hole and Periyashanthi (Package I) has been transformed into a four-lane road and will be fully operational by the end of April. In the 48 km stretch between Periyashanthi and BC Road (Package II), 20 km has been expanded to four lanes, with an additional 12 km set to be ready by the end of May, resulting in a 32 km long four-lane road before the onset of the monsoon. Providing updates on the Kalladka flyover, Azmi informed that stormwater drains for the service roads are currently under construction, and these roads will be ready before the upcoming monsoon season. The parallel bridge over the Netravathi in B.C. Road is targeted for completion by March 15, while the Melkar-Panemangaluru overpass is expected to be operational by the end of February. Azmi also assured that there are no pending issues regarding land acquisition related to the BC Road-Adda Hole project.
