Rs 4.88 billion order bagged by NBCC from MHA to build border road

The Department of Border Management has given the central public enterprise National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) an order worth Rs 4.88 billion. The department, which is a division of the Ministry of ÑDz©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³ Affairs, has given NBCC the job of building an 88.58 kilometer border and road. The road and border will be built in the state of Mizoram along the Indo Bangladesh Border (IBB) from BP No. 2350 to BP No. 2364. The project's completion date has not yet been determined.

The new initiative was launched shortly after the CPSE signed a MoU to work together to build 100,000 homes in Zambia. To address a severe housing shortage in that nation, NBCC will collaborate with Scirocco Enterprises Ltd of Zambia to build 1 lakh low and medium cost homes, the firm said in a statement. The stalled Amrapali corporate Hub near IMT Manesar in Gurugram, Haryana, is being built by the same state-owned construction corporation, NBCC.

According to the petition, NBCC received a one more order for Rs 2.29 billion for special repair and up-gradation works of civil, electrical, mechanical and plumbing along with all related works required due to lack of comprehensive maintenance of Amrapali Projects at Noida and Greater Noida. According to Pawan Kumar Gupta of NBCC India, the company's Amrapali project was progressing well and will bring in business valued between Rs 70 and 80 billion.
