Electronics Tech for Hyperloop to be Developed at ICF Chennai

Union Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Information Technology, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, has announced that electronics component technology for India’s Hyperloop project will be developed at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai. The Minister made this declaration following his visit to the Hyperloop testing facility at IIT Madras Discovery Campus, where he witnessed a live demonstration of the revolutionary transportation technology.

Key Highlights from the Visit The 410-metre-long Hyperloop test tube at IIT Madras is the longest in Asia, marking a significant milestone in the country’s pursuit of futuristic transportation solutions.

Indigenous Technology Development The entire Hyperloop testing system has been developed using indigenous technologies. The Minister lauded young innovators for their contributions, expressing confidence that India will soon be ready for Hyperloop transportation.

ICF Chennai to Drive Electronics Innovation The Railway Ministry has extended financial and technical support to the Hyperloop project. Electronics technology for the Hyperloop will now be developed at ICF Chennai, leveraging the highly skilled experts responsible for large electronics systems in Vande Bharat high-speed trains.

Recognition for Innovators The Minister congratulated the young innovators of IIT Madras and Avishkar Hyperloop, acknowledging their successful testing efforts.
