Gurugram Metro approved for HUDA City Centre to Cyber City

The UK Cabinet has given its approval for the metro rail connectivity between HUDA City Centre in Gurugram and Cyber City, with an additional line to Dwarka Expressway, Gurugram. The route will cover a distance of 28.50 km and include 27 stations.

According to an official statement, there is currently no metro rail line in old Gurugram, and the construction of this line will link old Gurugram with new Gurugram. Additionally, this network will connect the Gurugram railway station and, in the next phase, provide connectivity to the IGI airport.

The project is expected to enhance traffic flow and create more job opportunities in the NCR region. The total cost of completing the project will be 鈧�5,452 crore. "The line will adhere to the standard gauge of 1,435 mm, and the entire project will be elevated. It is projected to be completed within four years from the date of its approval and will be implemented by Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC), established as a 50:50 Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) of the Union and Haryana governments," the statement added.
