ICF coaches to be upgraded by Indian Railways under project Utkrisht

The Indian Railways is working to enhance the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) coaches of the trains to make them more comfortable and beautiful under project Utkrisht.
The ICF coaches of the trains will be upgraded with modern facilities to make travelling comfortable. Currently, the Bareilly-Indore or Bareilly-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express trains were designed under this project.
The railway officials conducted an inspection for the Bareilly-Indore for its maintenance. General Manager of the Northern Railways, Ashutosh Gangal, Head Office and Additional Divisional Railway Manager of Moradabad Division were also present.
Gangal inspected the maintenance work of the ICF coaches at Moradabad Division. Railway Station officers inspected the Bareilly-Indore, and Bareilly-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express trains in Moradabad. Gangal was satisfied with the work and appreciated the efforts. He also approved the beginning of the service for rail passengers.
The three rakes of the train, Bareilly-Bhuj, Ala Hazrat Express, have been upgraded under the project in the Moradabad Division. Other trains of the Moradabad division have been prepared for upgrade under the project.
According to official sources, under Project Utkrisht, the Indian Railways plan to upgrade 140 rakes of Mail or Express trains for Rs 60 lakh per rake.
Deepak Kumar, Chief Public Relation Officer (CPRO) of the Northern Railway, told the media that the project work is under supervision by the respective division as per the order issued by the Head Office.
Interiors of the coaches have been done, along with epoxy resin coating on the floors inside the toilet.
The signal boards have also been put up in all coach rakes, installation of Korean washbasin in AC and non-AC sleeper coaches. The coaches have hygiene and control systems, including stainless steel dustbins in AC and non-AC sleeper coaches.
Other beautification essentials like paintings have been installed in every AC coach.
