The underpass of Jangpura Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) station has been completed and is enabling vehicular movement. The four-lane underpass construction that passes below the Mathura Road was completed by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC). Due to this, access will be provided to the train stabling or maintenance yard for all three RRTS network corridors. The yard is currently under construction. For smoother access to the station, the Jangpura RRTS station will be connected by Mathura Road in South Delhi. The priority section from Sahibabad to Duhai having a length of 17 km will be commissioned by the end of 2023. Whereas, the full corridor between Sarai Kale Khan and Meerut will be commissioned by the end of 2025. NCRTC states that the new facility will provide assistance to the residents of Ashram, Maharani Bagh, Nizamuddin, and Jangpura in availing of RRTS services without traffic jams. The box-pushing technology was adopted for the underpass construction. Precast boxes and pushing had been done by hydraulic jacks without having an effect on the traffic. The statement states that the underpass is pedestrian-friendly. To ease pedestal movement 1.5-meter space has been given on both sides. The Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor has a length of 82 km and the Jangpura RRTS station is the 25th station. It is equipped with a train yard, maintenance, control center, office, and residential buildings. India's first RRTS is being implemented by the NCRTC.
