Kumaraswamy Discusses Bengaluru-Sathy Railway Line

Former Karnataka Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy recently met with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to discuss the long-pending Bengaluru-Sathyamangalam railway line project. Kumaraswamy emphasised the importance of this project for enhancing connectivity and boosting economic development in the region.

The proposed railway line, stretching approximately 250 kilometres, aims to connect Bengaluru with Sathyamangalam in Tamil Nadu, passing through several towns and cities. Kumaraswamy highlighted that this project would not only ease passenger traffic but also facilitate the transportation of goods, thereby benefiting local industries and agricultural sectors.

Kumaraswamy urged the Railway Minister to expedite the approval and implementation process of the project, stressing its potential to transform the transportation landscape between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The project, which has been in the pipeline for several years, has faced delays due to various administrative and logistical challenges.

Railway Minister Vaishnaw assured Kumaraswamy that the Ministry is committed to improving railway infrastructure and connectivity. He mentioned that the Bengaluru-Sathyamangalam line is under active consideration and that efforts are being made to address the pending issues to move the project forward.
