The LKT Engineering Consultants - Enia Design JV was announced as the low bidder for the Detailed Design Consultant (DDC) contract for Mumbai Metro's 20.75 km Line-12 (Orange Line), which will connect Kalyan - Dombivali - Taloja via 17 stations. The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) plans to build Line-12 as a southern elevated extension of the partially completed 24.95 km Line-5 (Thane - Bhiwandi - Kalyan) at a cost of Rs 4,132 crore. MMRDA has invited proposals for this consultant contract in December 2022, with an estimated cost of Rs. 11.28 crore and a contract length of four years.
