United Parcel Service launches cargo flights from India to Europe

United Parcel Service (UPS) now directly connects India and Europe with its first-ever cologne-Delhi-cologne cargo flights that will operate five days a week.

Along with the flight commencement, UPS customers can connect to North and Latin American markets. The company has expanded its business to double in its previous capacity and from India for small and medium-sized business customers.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, customers were not satisfied with the supply chains from reliable and cost-effective cargo space aircraft. Now, with the growing market demand, Indian entrepreneurs are looking for reliable alternatives for import and export products.

Managing Director in the Middle East, Central Asia, and India of UPS, Rachid Fergati, said when the business demand is growing and the global volumes are challenged, customers need a smart logistics network with the capacity to connect major economies to India through a direct flight for import and export. UPS will provide reliability and expanded capacity to UPS customers.

The country manager for UPS Express India, Deepak Shrivastava, said that India is an integral part of the company's business strategy. Earlier, the international supply chain had been affected, but the company is now ready to turn challenges into opportunities.

Its direct flight services between Indian and Europe will keep the supply chain moving, provide better connectivity and increase the predictability for UPS customers.
