NTPC invites bids for maintenance of 250 MW solar project in AP

NTPC Limited has floated tenders for the comprehensive maintenance of the 250 MW solar plant at Ananthapuram in Andhra Pradesh and the 5 MW solar power plant in Andaman for three years.

NTPC strives to finance the agreement package via domestic commercial borrowings or its own sources.The deadline to present the proposals is March 1, 2022.Tenders will be opened on March 3. Interested bidders will have to present an amount of Rs five million as an earnest money deposit.The agreement term is 36 months.

To take part in the bidding process, the bidder should have implemented a contract for the installation and launching of at least one grid-connected solar power plant of 150 MW or above capacity during the last seven years as on the tender opening date.

Alternatively, the bidder should have implemented an agreement for operation & maintenance of at least one grid-connected solar power plant of 150 MW or above capacity for at least one year during the last seven years as on the proposal opening date.The average annual turnover of the bidder must not be less than Rs 163.2 million during the last three financial years as of the tender submission date.

Additionally, the bidder鈥檚 net worth must not be less than 100% of the paid-up share capital, as on the last day of the preceding financial year. If the bidder does not meet the financial criteria on its own, its holding firm would be needed to satisfy the stipulated turnover needs.

NTPC has said that only Class-I local suppliers can take part in this tender.The local content needs to categorise a bidder as a 鈥楥lass-I local supplier鈥� is a minimum of 50%. Any bidder from a nation that shares a land border with India as determined in the bidding document will be qualified to bid in this proposal only if the bidder is listed with the competent authority.
