State to get solar streetlights

Manipur Renewable Energy Development Agency (Manireda) is now turning its focus on illuminating district headquarters and main streets of the capital city, Imphal. This is following its successful covering of 200 villages with over 10,000 solar streetlights. Keeping in view of the state's poor electricity supply situation, Manireda initially concentrated on providing solar powered lights to the villages. The agency also started focusing on lighting up the streets of the twin capital districts.

Dassault To Build Falcon Jets In India With Reliance
