Adani Green Energy’s subsidiary, Adani Wind Energy Kutchh Five, has successfully commissioned a 130 MW Wind Power Plant in Kutchh, Gujarat. The plant has entered into a 25-year power purchase agreement of 130 MW with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) at a rate of Rs. 2.83 per kilowatt hour (kWh).According to a press statement from the company, the commissioning of this plant has increased AGEL's operational wind generation capacity to 1,101 MW and its total operational renewable generation capacity to 8,216 MW. This significant achievement puts AGEL's overall renewable portfolio on track to achieve its ambitious goal of 45 GW capacity by 2030.The newly commissioned plant will be managed using the Adani Group's intelligent 'Energy Network Operation Centre' (ENOC) platform. This platform has consistently demonstrated its effectiveness in ensuring superior operational performance across AGEL's diverse renewable portfolio, which spans multiple locations in India.AGEL's projects have been instrumental in integrating sustainability objectives with economic development, generating employment opportunities, and facilitating decarbonization efforts in line with India's commitment at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris. This latest milestone brings AGEL one step closer to assuming a leadership role in addressing climate change.
