Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has invited bids for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of a 5 MW solar power project at its facility in Ranipet, Tamil Nadu. The last date to submit the bids is January 30, 2023. Bids will be opened on the same day. The O&M contract will be valid for two years. Bidders will have to submit �111,845 as an earnest money deposit. Earlier in 2020, BHEL had floated an O&M tender for the same project for two years. The tender mandates that bidders should have successfully executed at least one project of 80% of the estimated bid value or two orders each of 50% of the estimated project value, or three orders each of 40% of the estimated bid value in the last three years for any central or state government organization, or a public sector undertaking, or a public-listed company. Also, bidders should have executed three similar works each costing not less than �2.236 million, or two similar works each costing not less than �2.796 million, or three similar works, each costing lot less than �4.473 million during the last seven years.
