Bids invited for 10 MW solar project in MP

GAIL (India) has invited bids for the installation and commissioning of a 10 MW grid-connected solar power project at its Vijaipur complex in the Guna district of Madhya Pradesh. The select contractor must take care of the project’s operation and maintenance for five years.

The scope of work also includes the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of 33 kV cabling as per the project’s requirement and associated switchgear equipment, transformer, and metering equipment for connecting the project to the 33 kV GAIL substation. The last date to submit the bids is July 12, 2023. Bids will be opened the following day.

Bidders will have to submit Rs 5.03 million as an earnest money deposit. The successful bidder must furnish an amount equivalent to 10% of the contract value as a performance bank guarantee. The project must be commissioned within 11 months from the date of the issuance of the letter of award.

To be eligible, bidders should have completed one work of installed capacity of 8 MW or above, two projects of installed capacity of 5 MW or above each, or three projects of installed capacity of 4 MW or above each in the last seven years before the bid submission date.

Out of the completed projects, at least one should have been operational for one year as of the bid due date. Also, the minimum average annual turnover of bidders during the last three financial years should be at least Rs 268.9 million ($3.28 million).
