Durgapur Projects Limited floats tender for 5 MW solar power plant

West Bengal government run Durgapur Projects Limited (DPL) has floated tenders for the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, construction, and launching of Phase-II of 5 MW of grid-connected solar power plant in its premises on a turnkey basis.

The successful bidder will additionally have to manage the project’s operations and maintenance (O&M) activities for five years.

The deadline to present the proposals is February 5, 2022. Proposals will be opened on February 9, 2022.

Bidders will have to present Rs 5.07 million as an earnest money deposit. The successful bidder will have to provide 10% of the project price as a performance bank guarantee valid for 72 months.

The project must be achieved within a year from the letter of award.

Bidders must have experience implementing contracts in planning, design, supply, testing, and launching of rooftop or ground-mounted or floating solar power plants with one project of at least one 5 MW project or two projects of 3 MW capacity each during the past seven years. The projects must have been in function.

Bidders must have experience of O&M of one 5 MW project or two projects of 3 MW capacity each for the past one year as on the tender submission date. They should have done one similar work worth Rs 202.6 million or two works costing Rs 126.7 million each or three similar works costing Rs 101.3 million each during the past seven years.

Bidders must have a minimum average yearly turnover of Rs 75.9 million in the past three financial years. Their net worth should be positive for the past three years and not be lower than 100% of the paid-up share capital.

If work is deferred beyond the schedule, the contractor will have to pay a charge equal to 0.5% of the contract price for each week of delay, subject to a maximum of 10% of the project cost.

The project must have a minimum solar energy production of 1.6 MU yearly per MW with a degradation of 0.7% from the second year.
