Gigantic generator rotor instals at Yadadri Thermal Power Plant

The gigantic 450 tonnes generator rotor has been installed at the 4,000 MW Yadadri Thermal Power Plant project site near Dameracherla in the Nalgonda district.

In the presence of Telangana State Power Generation Corporation Limited (TSGenco) and Transmission Corporation Of Telangana Limited (TSTransco) chairman and managing director D Prabhakar Rao, the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) officials and the TSGenco officials have set up the gigantic generator rotor using a tower crane as part of the second facility of the plant.

The BHEL authorities were asked to finish the works to enable commercial operations of the first two units by June 2023 as per the contract and also synchronise the third unit.

After examining the plant and inspecting the progress of works, Prabhakar Rao asked the officials concerned to finish the construction work as per schedule.

He said that the State government was willing to commission the power plant as per the plan to satisfy its future power needs.
