Hindustan Salts issues tender to develop 4 GW ultra-mega solar project

Hindustan Salts Limited has issued a tender to develop an ultra-mega solar project of 4 GW at Sambhar, Rajasthan.

The company has issued an Expression of Interest (EOI) to develop a 1 GW solar project at Kharaghoda, Gujarat.

The deadline to submit the bids is 13 December, and the bids will be opened on 14 December.

The bidders do not have to furnish any earnest money deposit (EMD) for the tenders.

The winning bidder will have to obtain and maintain all permits, licenses, approvals, no objection certificate (NOC) and clearances from all the authorities.

The bidders will have to procure the equipment required to develop the solar project and evacuate and transmit power. They will have to develop the project on the land of Hindustan Salts Ltd, operate the project there and generate revenue from the sale of generated power. It will be the developers' responsibility to enter into Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).

The winning bidders will be responsible for operation and maintenance (O&M) for 25 years. They will have to provide solar radiation and weather monitoring systems for the information and control of the parameters.

The bidders will supply power to Central Transmission Utility (CTU) substations in Rajasthan and Gujarat.

The company will provide land to the bidders for developing the solar projects in Gujarat and Rajasthan. The bidders will have to pay rent per acre annually based on the provided land. The rent will be increased by 5% annually after two years.

To participate in the bidding process, the bidders must provide information of their previous experience in developing the solar projects on a turnkey basis. They should also provide information on their annual turnover in the last three financial years.
