India鈥檚 Solar Power Generation Rises by 36% YoY

In the first nine months of the calendar year 2022, India generated approximately 70.24 billion units (BU) of solar power, a 36% increase over the previous year's figure of 51.67 BU.

Solar generation has been increasing since 2018, when it reached 26.45 BU. The increase in overall solar power generation can be attributed to the addition of new capacity during the first nine months of the year.

Solar generation in Q3 2022 was 22.61 BU, an 11% decrease from the previous quarter's total of 25.4 BU. Solar generation, on the other hand, increased by 41% compared to 16.03 BU in Q3 2021.
