INOX Air Products partners with First Solar

INOX Air Products (INOXAP), India鈥檚 largest manufacturer of industrial and medical gases, has signed a 20-year agreement with First Solar, a leading American solar technology company and global provider of comprehensive photovoltaic (PV) solar energy solutions. The agreement covers the design, engineering, installation, and operations of a Cryogenic Nitrogen Generatortosupply high-purity nitrogen for First Solar's new manufacturing facility in Pillaipakkam, Tamil Nadu.
INOXAP鈥檚 Cryogenic Nitrogen Generator will have a capacity of 2400 Nm3/hour, supplying Nitrogen and other industrial gases to First Solar鈥檚 facility for use in its manufacturing processes.

First Solar's new facility, expected to be commissioned in the second half of 2023 with an annual nameplate capacity of 3.4 gigawatts (GWDC), will manufacture high-efficiency solar modules.
First Solar鈥檚 responsibly produced, advanced thin film photovoltaic (PV) modules set industry benchmarks for quality, durability, reliability, design, and environmental performance. The company鈥檚 solar modules have the lowest carbon and water footprint of any commercially available PV module today, and it鈥檚 the first PV manufacturer to have its product included in the Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT) global registry for sustainable electronics.
