IOC awards Soshe Power 1 MW grid-connected open access solar project

Soshe Power Tech, a solar power developer based in Hyderabad, has been awarded an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract by Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) for a 1 MW grid-connected open access captive solar power project. The project will be located at IOC?s Northern Region Pipelines in Kurukshetra, Haryana. The total contract value quoted by Soshe Power is Rs 50.3 million, covering both EPC and one year of comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) services, with an additional nine years of extended O&M support. The tender for this project was issued in April 2024, and Soshe Power is expected to complete the project within seven months from the issuance of the work order. Established in 2019, Soshe Power has a track record that includes a 10 MW single-axis tracker EPC project in Assam, a 2 MW rooftop solar project in Kerala, and a 1.9 MW ground-mounted project for Hindustan Petroleum Corporation in Karnataka. Currently, the company is also developing a 750-kW floating solar project in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, a 2.4 MW rooftop project, and a 1.3 MW project for industrial clients. Earlier this year, IOC issued a tender for an EPC contract for a 1 MW solar power project at Southern Region Pipelines in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, and sought bids for the O&M of a 1.1 MW solar power project at the Indane Bottling Plant in Devanagonthi village, Bengaluru Rural district, Karnataka. In another development, Soshe Power won an EPC contract from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation for a 1.9 MW solar power project at Hiriyur in Karnataka, which includes a ten-year operation and maintenance agreement.
