Jakson Green to establish methanol synthesis facility in Madhya Pradesh

Jakson Green will set up a methanol synthesis facility at the NTPC's Vindhyachal Thermal Power Plant (VTPP) in Madhya Pradesh. With a capacity of 10 tonnes per day (TPD), the group company has been awarded this project by NTPC. It will be the "world's first methanol production plant in partnership with NTPC," according to a statement from Jakson Group.

The production of power and transportation are just two uses for the cleaner alternative fuel, methanol. In collaboration with NTPC and a Japanese technology provider for the methanol synthesis process, Jakson Green will manage the complete design, engineering, procurement, and construction of this project on a turnkey basis.

Bikesh Ogra, CEO and MD, Jakson Green Private Limited, said that they are convinced that this Methanol synthesis plant constructed in collaboration with NTPC will support India's goal of developing a methanol economy, which would, in turn, lessen India's dependence on imported crude oil and reduce pollution.
