The Jammu and Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA) has announced an invitation for bids to install rooftop solar systems across the Union Territory. This initiative is part of the government's efforts to promote renewable energy and reduce reliance on traditional power sources, aiming to harness the abundant solar potential in the region. The project targets the installation of 200 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential, institutional, social, and government buildings.
