MES Invites Bids for O&M of 3 MW Solar Projects in Rajasthan

The Military Engineer Services (MES), Chief Engineer Bathinda Zone, has issued a tender for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of two solar power projects in Rajasthan. The deadline for bid submission is April 16, 2025, with the opening scheduled for April 23, 2025.
The first tender involves the O&M of a 1.02 MW solar project at AGE (I) Kanasar, with an estimated cost of Rs 72.9 million. Interested bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 689,000 and a tender document fee of Rs 3,000. Upon selection, the successful bidder must provide a performance bank guarantee equivalent to 5 per cent of the contract value.
The second tender pertains to a 2 MW solar project at GE (A) Suratgarh, with an estimated cost of Rs 108.8 million. The earnest money deposit requirement is Rsc 869,000, with a tender document fee of Rs 3,000. The selected bidder must furnish a performance bank guarantee of 5 per cent of the contract value.
Both projects require comprehensive maintenance services, including manpower deployment and operational oversight, for a period of 10 years. Eligible bidders must have prior experience managing solar projects and should have completed projects of a similar scale within the last seven years. The eligibility criteria specify Class 鈥楢鈥� for the 1.02 MW project and Class 鈥楽鈥� for the 2 MW project.
MES has recently floated multiple tenders for solar project maintenance. These include a 1 MW project at Bambolim, Goa, a 1.7 MW project at Tughlakabad Air Force Station in December 2024, and a 1.7 MW project at AFS Palam, New Delhi, in October 2024, with an estimated cost of Rs 2.49 million for a 270-day maintenance period.
