The state cabinet has decided to allocate Rs 16,424 crore in electricity price subsidies to the agriculture sector for the fiscal year (FY) 2022-23. It is in addition to the Rs 5,584 crore subsidy sanctioned for domestic users under the Griha Jyoti Yojana plan. The state government will pay the subsidies to the electricity distribution corporations. Narottam Mishra, ÑDz©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³ Minister, told the media that the total subsidy on power rate would be more than Rs 22800 crore. Farmers will receive a Rs 16,424 crore subsidy, while domestic consumers will continue to receive a Rs 5,584 crore subsidy. For meterless agricultural connections up to 10 horsepower, farmers would be charged a fixed cost of Rs 750 per horsepower each year. The cabinet also approved a proposal for three new state awards: the Madhya Pradesh Gaurav Samman (for citizens and institutions who go above and beyond), the Chief Minister's Excellence Award (for outstanding performance in government schemes), and the Chief Minister's Excellence Award (for outstanding performance in government schemes) (for innovation). These prizes will be presented every year on November 1st, Madhya Pradesh's Foundation Day. The Gaurav Samman award will come with an honorarium of Rs 5 lakh. Only Madhya Pradesh people with a domicile would be allowed to apply. The council of ministers approved a new structure construction in the department of public health and family welfare, with four cadres based on the work of presently sanctioned jobs. Medical, specialist, public health management, and hospital management are the new cadres. The government also awarded administrative sanctions for the Rs 1208.89 crore Rampura Manasa Micro Lift Irrigation Project. This project has a total irrigation potential of 65,400 hectares distributed over 215 communities for the Rabi season in Manasa tehsil in Neemuch. Another decision made by the cabinet was to continue with the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, which provides financial support to farmers in the event of crop loss or damage, allocating Rs 17,072 crore for this purpose. The scheme's primary goal is to give financial support to farmers who have suffered crop loss or damage as a result of unforeseeable natural disasters.
