Rajasthan issues tender for 282 MW of rooftop solar projects

The Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation (RREC) has issued a tender for the commissioning of 282 MW of rooftop solar capacity across government buildings in the state. The projects must be completed within 12 months of receiving the letter of award, with successful bidders responsible for operation and maintenance for 25 years.

The tender outlines specific financial and technical criteria, including an earnest money deposit (EMD) and performance bank guarantee (PBG), as well as experience in implementing similar solar projects. Bidders must demonstrate previous experience in designing, installing, and commissioning grid-connected solar projects with a minimum capacity of 5 kW.

The rooftop solar projects are part of India’s broader renewable energy goals and will contribute to the country’s clean energy transition. The deadline for bid submission is November 26, 2024, with bids to be opened the following day.
