RITES collaborates with NBCC for consultancy services

RITES Ltd, a leading transport infrastructure consultancy firm, has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with NBCC (India) Ltd, a Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Housing Development. This collaboration aims to explore and undertake a wide range of consultancy, fee-based projects, and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contracts, covering the entire process from concept to commissioning.

The partnership will see RITES and NBCC working together on projects across multiple sectors, including urban energy, water management, urban transport and infrastructure, and township development. According to a press release, this collaboration seeks to harness the combined strengths of both entities for modern and innovative projects.

RITES will provide consultancy and project management services, encompassing the entire pre-construction phase from conceptualisation, planning, and design to cost estimation and tender documentation. They will also coordinate the construction process. Meanwhile, NBCC will bring its expertise in project implementation, covering aspects such as tendering, contract management, construction supervision, cost control, quality assurance, project handover, commissioning, and management during the defect liability period.
