Power company Sterlite Power has bagged the Rs 324 crore Nangalbibra-Bongaigaon inter-state power transmission project.

Sterlite Power received the Nangalbibra-Bongaigaon interstate power transmission project worth Rs 324 crore via tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) by rising as the L1 bidder.

The company told the media that the project components include a new 220/132 kV substation at Nangalbibra and laying of 130 km of 400 kV D/c transmission line joining Bongaigaon in Assam to Nangalbibra in Meghalaya across the river Brahmaputra.

The project will additionally have 20 km of 132 kV D/c line joining Hatsinghmari in Assam to Ampati in Meghalaya.
