SWREL Wins 225 MW Solar Project in Gujarat

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL) has secured a 225 megawatt solar project in Gujarat, marking its first domestic order of the financial year 2025鈥�26. The company emerged as the lowest (L1) bidder in a tender floated by a reputed public sector undertaking for a turnkey engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) package.

According to the official statement, the grid-connected solar photovoltaic project will be executed on an EPC basis. SWREL is a prominent domestic renewable energy EPC player with a strong presence in Gujarat.

Chandra Kishore Thakur, Global Chief Executive Officer of SWREL, noted this win further reinforces the company's strong foothold in the Gujarat renewable energy market.

This development signals a positive start to FY26 for SWREL as it continues to expand its portfolio of domestic clean energy projects, aligning with India's broader push for green energy and sustainable infrastructure.
