Tata Power Delhi Distribution inks training pact with Siemens

Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd (TPDDL) has signed an agreement with global technology company Siemens Ltd to meet the training needs of the power distribution personnel, keep up with reforms in India as well as in other countries and help in creating a pool of qualified and skilled workforce.

A memorandum of understanding was signed in New Delhi by Praveen Agrawal, chief HR and IR, TPDDL, and K N Sreekumar, vice president and head of digitalization & sustainability, smart infrastructure, Siemens Ltd.

The training programmes will focus on power distribution equipment and technologies, including effective execution, practical applications, real-life usage, and setting up and maintenance of electrical networks.

“Our partnership with Siemens will enable both the parties to further empower the power distribution professionals with impactful knowledge and yield an array of skilled ‘smart� utility workforce for the overall benefit of the sector,� Agrawal said.

Siemens India will help design the programmes in accordance with new and emerging technologies
