UREDA floats tender to empanel grid-connected rooftop solar systems

The Uttarakhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (UREDA) has invited bids for the empanelment of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) for installing grid-connected rooftop solar systems and small solar projects in India.

The deadline to submit the bids is 20 November 2021, and it will be opened on 24 November.

The project work includes designing, manufacturing, supplying, erection, testing, commissioning and net metering of the grid-connected rooftop solar projects and small solar projects. The empanelled contractors will have to provide a warranty and annual maintenance contract of five years.

The solar projects to be allocated under the tender should range between 1 kW to 500 kW, which is to be installed at various sites. Solar systems of 135 kW will be installed at District Court Campus in Haridwar, and solar systems of 160 kW will be installed at District Court Campus in U S Nagar.

The requirements for the solar projects depend on their location. The bidder should consider factors related to transportation and mounting as per different sizes, locations and types of roofs.

Before quoting the rates, the bidder should also consider the need for additional dedicated electric cable, wiring and other systems to energise the proposed load as per the requirement of the solar systems.

The winning bidder will have to deposit 3% of the total work order values as performance security. The project work should be completed within six months from the date of issue of the work order.

For participating in the bidding, the bidder must have experience in supplying, installing and commissioning over 100 kW to 500 kW of grid-connected solar projects in the last three years.

The annual turnover of the bidder should be at least Rs 2.5 million in the last three financial years.
