Vedantam Minaret?s homebuyers face delay in prepaid meter installation

ÑDz©ÌåÓý¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³buyers at Vedantam Minaret in Abhay Khand 4 have already paid for prepaid meters for multipoint connections, but they are unable to move into their flats due to a delay in installing the meters. Power officials have stated that the meters are currently out of stock. Presently, only 11 buyers are residing in the society and are relying on electricity sourced from the common area.

Yash Bisht, one of the homebuyers, mentioned, "So far, 27 homebuyers have applied for electricity connections, but only two have received the meters. The remaining applications have been pending for the last two to three months. PVVNL (Pashchimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam) recently informed us about a shortage of three-phase prepaid meters since July this year."

The developer stated that PVVNL approved a multipoint load of 771 kVA on September 19 last year and was supposed to develop the power infrastructure in the society. While the external and internal electrical infrastructure has been functional since June this year, PVVNL has yet to install the meters.
