COSMOS, a Vadodara based group, is one of India’s leading machine tool manufacturer with both Indian and imported products, with over 35 years of experience in the machine tool industry in India and 20 years of manufacturing experience. The company has started the Phase-I construction of its state-of-the-art technology park at Ranu village, in the Vadodara district of Gujarat. Unleashing growth The project will be completed in three phases. The company plans on operationalising it by 2022. Although the company will hire a large number of engineers and technicians for its tech-park, it would hire professionals in a phased manner. The technology park will have various plants producing key components to manufacture CNC Machine Tools. It will also have an R&D division, which will be the growth driver for its future business. In this, COSMOS has already tied up for the technology alliance with some of the top machine tool industry leaders in the world. With this ambitious venture, COSMOS hopes to play a key role in the growth of the various industries in India such as automobile, infrastructure, power and steel, electronics, aerospace and medical implants. Green initiatives COSMOS is investing close to Rs 100 crore to set up this technology park which covers 15 acres of land area. Also, the company is dedicated to its efforts for social and environmental issues to enrich the quality of life of the community it serves. So, the tech-park will take a lead in green initiatives and will be surrounded by greenery all over the campus. The company also have plans to create a rainforest facility. COSMOS tech-park is aimed at improving the synergy among its various divisions and bringing a majority of its operations to a single campus. Harmonising interactions The cosmopolitan city Vadodara is the engineering capital of Gujarat.
