Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and Alstom Transport have secured a contract to supply key systems for Mumbai Metro鈥檚 35.2 km Line 4 and Line 4A (Green Line), linking Wadala, Kasarvadavali, and Gaimukh. Package CA-234 includes 39 six-coach trains (234 coaches), CBTC signalling, telecommunications, platform screen doors, and depot machinery. Following bid reissuance by MMRDA in February 2024, L&T emerged as the lowest bidder. The project, funded by a `49 billion loan from Germany鈥檚 KfW, will take 3.22 years.
