Skyjack updates design features in TH Telehandler Series

Skyjack has updated several design features on its TH series of telehandlers in response to customer feedback. The primary goal of these modifications is to reduce field maintenance time and ownership costs.

Kurt Atchison, Skyjack's director of product management, said that these are the first significant design changes they've made since launching.

To better distribute the load and increase reliability, the tilt compensation cylinder configuration has been updated to use a dual cylinder setup.

To complement the oil return filter and reduce the risk of contamination, a high-pressure filter has been added to the hydraulic system.

The main boom is now secured by greaseless pivot bearings. Greasing the bearings is no longer necessary, and the risk of damage from a dry bearing is reduced.

A new steel engine cowl will be more resistant to dents and dings and will require fewer repairs.

SJ519 TH, SJ1044 TH, SJ643 TH, SJ1056 TH, SJ1256 TH and SJ843 TH are affected by the changes.

According to Matt Lyons, vice president of sales in North America, telehandlers are frequently the first and last machines on the job site. By improving these areas and removing certain maintenance responsibilities from end-users, the rental company reclaims control of the machine's longevity and performance.

Skyjack is a global provider of quality engineered, simple, and dependable access and material handling equipment, allowing businesses to maximise their utilisation and return on investment. Skyjack's products are all built to be simple to service and maintain. All Skyjack products share the same reliability and ease of service thanks to a simple design and proven technology.
