Acciona Cultural Engineering (ACE) and UCC told the media that their joint venture (JV) is responsible for delivering the museography works, fit-out and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) for the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum. The ACE and UCC JV will coordinate an international team of the required specialists, including creative professionals, architects, engineers, artists and replicas manufacturers, content creators, AV hardware, digital and media experts, lighting designers and museography specialists to deliver one of the world鈥檚 most innovative and advanced technology museums dedicated to sports. The scope of work includes the partial designing, development and implementation of the museum, including the museography exhibitions, complete technical development of the fit-out and the MEP of the project. JV Project Director, Aitor T脿rrega Astigarraga, told the media that it is one of the largest projects ever undertaken by ACE with on-time delivery despite the ongoing global challenges. Overall, 95 companies and over 700 people from 23 countries were involved in delivering the museum, with ACE and UCC JV responsible for coordinating and integrating all the specialist subcontractors. The 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum is spread across 19,000 sq m, including a cafe, gift shop, members lounge, restaurant, congress area, library, auditorium, meeting rooms and eight galleries of 9,000 sq m of exhibition space. It is located beside Khalifa International Stadium in Doha, Qatar. The museum has the origins, development and significance of sports in Qatar and worldwide. It also aims to promote the positivity of sports culture. The 3-2-1 will house temporary exhibitions, educational programmes and activities to promote the sport across the world. It is also a part of the Olympic Museums Network (OMN), which has 22 Olympic museums worldwide. Image Source
