DDA inaugurates web portal to display layout plans of Delhi

A web-based portal to display layout plans of various regions of Delhi was inaugurated by Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to make old records accessible to people.

The work was assigned to the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) as part of the government鈥檚 Ease of Doing Business (EDB) vision.

According to a statement, the government has initiated to get all layout plans of Delhi digitised and developed a web portal where approved layout plans will be uploaded.

The DDA received layout plans collected from 17 Planning Zones of Delhi for a 1,483 sq km area.

These layout plans are 40-70 years old. However, the latest approved layouts were identified, scanned and digitised.

For understanding the general public, these layout plans have been digitised, available with various urban local bodies (ULBs), including Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), DDA, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD), Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development (DSIIDC), and Land and Development Office (L&DO).

The web portal has a graphic user interface with various features and tools to facilitate viewing and downloading feature the layout plans of several ULBs.

The general public can view and download the layout plans approved by ULBs and the authorities, which can be used by the public for various purposes.
