Hyderabad to host the 5th edition of Lean Conference

The five day programme will be held at NICMAR Hyderabad (Shamirpet) from December 13th - 17th, 2022.
ILCE- Institute for Lean Construction Excellence- is the prime body in India, which was set up with the specific purpose of developing, spreading and nurturing Lean construction practices in the country. After the highly successful national conferences ILCC 2015, ILCC 2017, ILCC 2019, ILCC 2021 and the international conferences IGLC 2018 and Lean in Public Sector- LIPS 2019, this year鈥檚 conference ILCC 2022 is being held in Hyderabad jointly with NICMAR- National Institute for Construction Management and Research- in
their campus.
As was the case for the earlier conferences, this also spans over five days:
The first day on 13th December 2022 will be 鈥榃orkshop Day鈥� which is planned as a multi-disciplinary programme of both conceptual and hands-on practices of integrating Lean with BIM, AR & VR, and peoples concept, for Lean beginners and practicing constructional professionals. This programme with three different themes will be handled by experts with both national and international experience. It will improve the understanding of Lean usage coupled with advanced technologies and also cover how to handle people issues for effective implementation.
The second day will be 鈥業ndustry Day鈥�, which will feature high-level industry experts with national and international exposure sharing their advice for implementing Lean practices effectively. There will also be panel discussions featuring experts talking about 鈥楥hallenges from people issues for successful Lean implementation鈥� and 鈥楾echnology鈥檚 role in effective Lean implementation鈥�.
Technical conferences have been planned on the third and fourth days for students, researchers, academicians, and Lean practicing professionals to learn Lean from the applications perspective.
Applied research technical paper presentations by authors from industry and academia will be featured in three parallel streams. Prominent experts from the industry and academic arenas will grace the occasion as keynote speakers.
Three-panel discussions on the themes of 鈥楬ow to improve Teaching in Lean Construction鈥�, 鈥楾angible and Intangible benefits of Lean construction and implementation鈥�, and 鈥楲ean and Digital Construction鈥� will be held. A poster exhibition will be held on all the days in an adjoining hall, showcasing numerous case studies and research findings from all over the country. A Lean project competition has also been planned to encourage best Lean practices.
A Gemba walk with a conducted tour to a Lean practicing project site will be featured on the fifth day to give the participants a practical feel of Lean implementation.
