Phase-3 of Ram temple takes off in Ayodhya

The third phase of the development of the Ram temple begins at Ramjanmabhoomi in Ayodhya with the placing of granite stones for the plinth.

The granite stones will assist raise the flooring of the temple. The construction began after some rituals and offering prayers by Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust secretary Champat Rai, and trustees Anil Mishra and Dinendra Das.

The temple development has gathered steam about 14 months after Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed its shilanyas, with a deadline for placing the idols of Ram Lalla in the sanctum sanctorum by 2023-end as declared by the trust, seeming likely to be met. The plinth work will probably be achieved by June, as per the trust.

With a view to gaining strength, other physical and chemical features, and consequent longevity, the work of plinth with granite stone has started.

Keeping in mind the Ram temple life of thousand years and beyond, it was decided to use the strongest natural granite of southern India.
