Skylark Drones, a provider of enterprise drone solutions, has raised $3 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by InfoEdge Ventures and IAN Fund to expand its geospatial intelligence product and enter international markets.
AdvantEdge Founders, agriculture solutions company Fowler Westrup, Redstart Labs, IKP, and mining conglomerate Vimson Group all contributed to the fundraise.
SkyLark, founded in 2015 by Mughilan Thiru Ramasamy and Mrinal Pai, provides companies in industries like mining, solar power, real estate, and agriculture with insights on how to improve worksite productivity by using drones for data collection.
The company also offers enterprise and individual operators project and fleet management solutions for drone flights, as well as a hardware product for drone manufacturers looking to comply with India's no permission, no take-off (NP:NT) protocol.
Skylark provides full-stack drone solutions to businesses, from helping them manage and deploy drone fleets to helping customers in the mining, construction, and solar power sectors derive actionable and up-to-date insights from images.
Amit Behl, partner at InfoEdge Venture Fund said that aerial intelligence is a theme with immense potential because it provides significant cost, time, and accuracy benefits for large infrastructure companies that face frequent cost and time overruns.
