India to grant Rs 33.4 mn to Nepal school building

For construction of a three-storeyed school building in western Nepal, India will provide the country 33.39 million Nepali rupees. To this effect, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Embassy of India, Kathmandu, District Development Committee, Dailekh and Shri Malika Higher Secondary School for providing the Indian grant assistance. According to a press release, issued by Embassy of India, the school in Dailekh district is running in a dilapidated condition. The school was established in 1970. With the Indian fund, the new school building will provide new classroom space, create an improved learning environment and contribute to the development of education in the district, the release said.
