Create in India Challenge Gets 100,000 Registrations

The Create in India Challenge (CIC), launched under the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES), has evolved into a global movement, attracting nearly 100,000 registrations, including over 1,100 international participants from more than 60 countries. With all 32 challenges now closed, 750 finalists have been selected to showcase their creativity at Creatosphere, a dedicated platform at WAVES 2025, scheduled for May 1â€4 at Jio World Centre, Mumbai.

Creatosphere will spotlight innovation across domains like animation, AI, XR, gaming, music, and comics, culminating in the prestigious WAVES Creator Awards on Day 2 of the event. The global appeal is further underlined by 43 international finalists from over 20 countries, including Sri Lanka, Nepal, Tajikistan, Indonesia, Maldives, the US, UK, Germany, Canada, and Japan.

Domestically, CIC witnessed enthusiastic participation from across all 28 states and 8 Union Territories, ensuring strong regional representation from Assam to Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh to Kerala. The challenge has been youth-driven, with the majority of creators in their 20s, though the age range of finalists spans from 12 to 66 years, highlighting its inclusive ethos.

Themed challenges ranged from educational innovation to reviving Indian textiles and drone storytelling, embodying both tradition and technology. With its inclusive reach and creative momentum, the Create in India Challenge reflects India’s emergence as a global hub for media and entertainment innovation, echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for WAVES to reach every home and heart.
