Div Com Jammu stamps approval to 28 revised projects

The 13th Board of Directors meeting of Jammu Smart City was presided over by Ramesh Kumar, the Divisional Commissioner of Jammu, and Mukesh Singh, the Additional Director General of Police.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Avny Lavasa; Commissioner JMC, (Chief Executive Officer, Jammu Smart City), Rahul Yadav; Director Archives Archaeology and Museums, J&K; VC JDA, Pankaj Magotra, Chief Engineers of JPDCL, PWD besides senior functionaries of Project Management Consultancy (PMC) and other board members.
The Div Com recommended extending the procedure for early flotation of tenders for the remaining Smart City projects while debating agenda items.
The Divisional Commissioner of Jammu, who also serves as the Chairman of the Jammu Smart City initiative, gave his approval to 28 revised projects, some of which included the installation of automated drain cleaners, garbage transfer stations, auto tippers, parks and walkways, school renovations, the modernization of the Ranbir Library, smart lighting at all of the city's tawi bridges, static advertising panels and signage, underground bins, the construction of parking at the town hall, blue-green project Ranbir canal, smart urban e-mobility & infrastructure, Tawi river front and real estate development, e-governance, smart traffic booths, solid waste processing facilities and many other projects.
