Scindia Seeks Over Rs 2.5 Billion for MP District Projects

In a renewed push for regional development, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia met with Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar at Shram Shakti Bhawan in New Delhi on Saturday, seeking approval for development projects worth over Rs 2.5 billion across four districts in Madhya Pradesh � Gwalior, Guna, Shivpuri, and Ashoknagar.

The proposals include Rs 600 million for resolving Gwalior's persistent waterlogging issues through a new drainage and sewer line system. For Shivpuri, Scindia emphasized pending works under the AMRUT-2 scheme and proposed the construction of AMRUT Park, renovation of Bhujariya Talab, and conservation of Jadhav Sagar, along with upgraded sanitation facilities.

In Guna, development plans worth Rs 800 million include a 5-hectare Oxygen Park, a modern bus terminal, and the transformation of Madhavrao Scindia Road into a themed corridor. For Ashoknagar, Scindia highlighted the beautification of Tulsi Sarovar and the development of the Guna Tiraaha–Tridev Mandir stretch into a themed road.

Scindia also invited Minister Khattar to the upcoming North East Rising Investor Summit 2025, set for May, aiming to boost investment in alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a developed Northeast.
