TN SEIAA Grants Clearance for Tidel Parks in Madurai and Trichy

The Tamil Nadu State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA) has approved the environmental clearance for the construction of Tidel parks in Madurai and Trichy, marking a significant step forward for these highly anticipated projects. Tenders for the developments have already been issued, and officials from TIDEL Park Limited have announced that foundation stones will be laid within the next month.

The Madurai Tidel Park will be located near the Mattuthavani bus stand, covering 9.97 acres with a built-up area of 567,000 sqft. With an estimated cost of Rs 2.89 billion, the park will feature a ground floor and 12 additional floors. Designed to support IT and IT-enabled services (ITES) companies, the facility will offer plug-and-play workspaces, high-speed internet, conference rooms, incubation centers, and recreational areas. Upon completion, the park is expected to create around 5,500 direct jobs, significantly enhancing Madurai's economic and technological landscape.

In Trichy, the Tidel Park will be developed near the integrated bus terminus at Panjappur, along the Trichy-Madurai national highway. The project, covering 11 acres and a built-up area of 550,000 sqft, is estimated to cost Rs 2.9 billion. Similar to the Madurai project, it will offer advanced infrastructure for IT and ITES companies and is expected to generate about 5,000 jobs, reinforcing Trichy's role as an emerging industrial hub.

Both projects are being led by Tidel Park Limited, a Tamil Nadu government initiative. After a thorough review process, SEIAA has granted the necessary environmental clearance. A senior official from Tidel Park Limited stated that Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is expected to lay the foundation stones for both projects, with construction set to begin within two months.
