The ongoing underwater archaeological explorations off the coast of Dwarka and Bet Dwarka are focused on discovering, documenting, and analysing submerged historical remains. These efforts also include training archaeologists in underwater excavation techniques and conducting scientific analysis of sediments and marine deposits to determine the antiquity of recovered artefacts. Funding and Technological Integration in Underwater Archaeology Various branches and field offices of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), including the Underwater Archaeology Wing (UAW), receive dedicated funds for archaeological research and fieldwork. For the current fieldwork, an initial amount of Rs 1 million has been allotted. The UAW employs cutting-edge technology in its explorations, including remote sensing tools, advanced diving equipment, and modern search-and-documentation techniques, ensuring a systematic and high-precision investigation of submerged sites.
