India?s Civil Aviation Minister has announced that 12 additional airports will soon implement the DigiYatra facility, a digital passenger processing system aimed at streamlining airport operations and improving the travel experience. This expansion is part of a broader initiative to enhance efficiency and security in the aviation sector.

DigiYatra uses biometric technology to verify passengers' identities, allowing for a smoother and quicker journey through various airport checkpoints. This system is designed to reduce wait times, minimise physical contact, and support a more seamless travel experience.

The selected airports, which will begin integrating DigiYatra technology, include both major hubs and regional airports. This rollout is expected to significantly ease the passenger flow and enhance overall airport efficiency.
