AAI floats tender for 8 MW solar plant in Hubballi

Airports Authority of India (AAI) has floated a tender for setting up an 8 MW solar power project in Hubballi Airport to feed all airports in Karnataka. The scope of the work also includes civil works for the construction of an underground sump, pump room, laying paver block pathways surrounding the SCADA room and other miscellaneous works.

The project is to be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 41.15 lakh with a period of completion of 120 days including 30 days considered for rains. The tender was published on Wednesday (14 December) and the last date for submitting the bids is January 4, 2023.

The technical bids will be opened on January 6 and the financial bids will be opened on January 12. The tender document mentions that consortium or Joint Venture companies are not permitted.

Also, purchase preference to Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs) will be applicable as per the directive of the government prevalent on the date of acceptance.
