Aequs secures 10-Year contract with Airbus for Critical Aircraft Components

Aerospace components manufacturer Aequs announced the successful acquisition of a contract with the prominent European aircraft company Airbus. This agreement spans a decade and involves the provision of vital components for Airbus's A320 family, A330neo, and A350 aircraft.

As outlined in the terms of the contract, Aequs will be responsible for producing detailed parts and bench assembly components for the wings, fuselage, and pylons of the specified aircraft models.

Aequs has a longstanding relationship with Airbus, serving as its initial original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customer. Over the past decade, Aequs has consistently been recognised as a Preferred Detailed Parts Partner (D2P) by Airbus.

This contract represents a significant milestone for both Aequs and the Indian aerospace industry, reinforcing India's role as a burgeoning global aerospace manufacturing hub. The collaboration also contributes to Airbus's commitment to the Make-in-India initiative.

Aravind Melligeri, Chairman and CEO of Aequs, expressed pride in the partnership, stating, "This contract is a significant moment in Aequs' journey with Airbus. We are proud to stand alongside the world's largest aircraft maker as a long-term strategic partner. It is also a testimony to the confidence in Aequs by global OEMs to enter into deeper and longer relationships, particularly at a time when the global supply chain is passing through a recalibration."

Founded in 2006, Aequs is a diversified contract manufacturing company offering integrated product solutions across various industries, including aerospace, toys, and consumer durable goods. With manufacturing facilities in India, France, and the United States, Aequs continues to play a crucial role in the global aerospace supply chain.
