Air India expands network with Bangkok Airways partnership

Air India has forged an interline partnership with Bangkok Airways as part of its strategy to enhance its global network. This collaboration aims to improve connectivity within Thailand and other Southeast Asian countries. Passengers can benefit from seamless connections via Air India's Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Singapore gateways to ten destinations across Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia on Bangkok Airways' route network.

 The partnership also grants complimentary lounge access to Air India passengers, irrespective of their cabin class. The destinations accessible through this collaboration include Chiang Mai, Lampang, Sukhothai, Trat, Koh Samui, Phuket, Krabi, Luang Prabang, Phnom Penh, and Siem Reap. Additionally, Air India passengers have the option to fly to Koh Samui via Singapore and Hong Kong. The agreement includes the implementation of Inter Airline Through Check-In (IATCI), allowing passengers to receive boarding passes at the first point of departure and check their baggage through to their final destinations. 

Currently, Air India operates daily flights to Bangkok from Delhi and Mumbai to Singapore from Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai, and thrice a week to Hong Kong from Delhi. Chulin Kocharoen, Vice President of Network and Product Development at Bangkok Airways PLC, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting the enhanced services available to Air India passengers on Bangkok Airways flights, including lounge access and in-flight meals.
